Brit and Euro Classic Car Show, NZ

On Sunday 11 April Mini Car Club of Auckland, New Zealand, attended the Brit and Euro Classic Car Show, held on a massive council reserve in Pakuranga, East Auckland. Entry was free for cars and spectators and the event hosted vehicles from over 50 European manufacturers. There were more than 50 Minis in attendance including about 30 from our club and another 10 from Tauranga and Waikato, plus other Minis from Auckland. We were lucky to have a few special Minis there, including Ray West's 33 EJB replica of Paddy Hopkirk's 1964 Monte winner. It's a very well-built car which often attends show 'n' shines and hill climbs. Here are some other Mini highlights from the event: Our Club President, Steve's, wife drove their red Rover Mini. His son drove the road/race yellow GT while Steve took his soon-to-be-running blue Marcos, which is a rare car to find here in New Zealand.
