I'm writing this in a month when three major Mini events were postponed to next year, Mini Action Day, L2B and Stanford Hall, so I was starting to feel a bit fed up as I'm missing my Mini friends and the wondrous sight of many Minis gathered together. My keep calm and carry on attitude at the start of the summer was beginning to fade so I had a stern word with myself as I know that the Mini scene will carry on and it will adapt if necessary. Where there's a will, there is a way! A perfect example of this can be found in the feature on the Cooper S on pages 30-37. It's an impressive story of a young man called Stanley Eakins who wanted to go rallying in a Mini and wouldn't let cerebral palsy stop him. It's amazing how far a can-do attitude will get you.
