I remember the late Cilia Black as a presenter on 80s and 90s TV shows like Blind Date and Surprise Surprise. Her huge personality shone through on the telly and captivated her audiences. Later on I became a huge fan of the Beatles and learnt that Cilia was a singer who played a big part of the Merseybeat era in Liverpool and was great friends with, and worked with, the fab four. The Mini was the car to be seen in during the Swinging 60s and, naturally, The Beatles owned Minis and so did Cilia! So when I got the opportunity to see and sit in the Mini that Cilia commissioned from coachbuilders Wood & Pickett I grabbed it. It has been lovingly restored by the King of coachbuilt Minis, the lovely Steve Burkinshaw.
