Seven Mini teams registered for the JD Competition Tyres Bob Shaw Memorial Brawdy Stages Rally on 7 July which covers eight miles of smooth surfaces over six stages. Clive King and Anton Bird finished top Mini which makes them joint leaders of the 2019 Championship, tying with Jack Hartley and Gary Dawes on 105 points each which is equivalent to three maximum scores. To highlight the good nature in which the crews compete, there was a timing error on the rally which one of the duos protested despite it leading to a competitor getting ahead of them on the standings. Also, Clive and Anton had braking problems and were lent components by a retired competitor so that they could get to the top of the leader board.
