FAMILY SURPRISES

As 2019 celebrates the Mini 60, my wife Rhonnie and I had been looking for Mini 60 events to attend just about anywhere. When I heard about the Mexico Mini 60, I mentioned on Facebook that we would try to make it there. Next thing I knew, an official invitation came from Julio Sanchez of the host club, Mini Asociados Mexico! We couldn't turn it down. As my job with Mini Sport USA allows me to travel while working, I went a few days before Rhonnie and the event. I got a rental car when I landed in Mexico City and drove three hours east to the mountains. My goal was to see the real Mexico, real people, and not be just in tourist areas. I'm working on a full story for a future issue but I wanted to get something out sooner in MiniWorld for everyone to see and hear a little about the wonderful people - and Minis - of Mexico.
