Synopsys Debuts Secure ARC Cores

Responding to pleas for stronger security in IoT devices and embedded systems, Synopsys is introducing two new products in its Design Ware ARC EM family of licens-able CPU cores. Compared with earlier ARC products, the new ARC SEM110 and SEM120D add several security features, including an improved trusted execution environment with secure privilege levels, a special interface for true-random-number generators, a secure debug interface, and countermeasures against side-channel attacks.
