摘要

In this study, coplanar based planar slot and stacked patch array antennas based on high permittivity substrates for potential integration with optoelectronic devices are designed and evaluated. These arrays provide gain in the range of 10-18 dBi and bandwidth in the order of 1-2 GHz at the frequency band of 60 GHz. Beam forming features of the presented arrays are also outlined considering radiation pattern shaping according to the phase of the optical/electrical signals. Moreover, a photodiode is also simulated in order to be connected to the antenna's input ports considering hybrid or monolithic integration scenario and an optical beam forming system is proposed. All the antennas are proved to be major candidates for indoor use in the 60 GHz band in a wireless over fiber network.
