Seeking a strong partner to expand its business, Texwipe has agreed to a buyout by Illinois Tool Works (ITW). New Jersey-based Texwipe manufactures contamination control supplies and process materials for the semiconductor industry and a wide range of other industries. ITW is a manufacturer of engineered components with annual worldwide sales of approximately $10 billion. Headquartered in Glenview, IL, the company has offices in 43 countries and a workforce of 55,000. The companies did not disclose the terms of the acquisition, which was announced in late May and was scheduled to close by July 2.
