摘要

The ongoing conflicts in Iraq in general and especially in central and northern Iraq have reduced the health status of the communities and undermined the functionality of the public health system. Still, a comprehensive assessment of the impact of the conflicts on the health of the population remains to be carried out and is beyond the scope of this paper. The challenges presented by this protracted humanitarian crisis need to be better understood and taken into account when proposing remedies that include the introduction of appropriate actions to safeguard and improve the well-being of the community.
