The capabilities that computer design tools offer engineers are expanding so rapidly it is often difficult for even the most technologically aware to keep up with the latest advances. While colleges struggle to ensure that their engineering graduates have been exposed to all the latest design tools, anyone who has been out of school for more than a few years has probably not been formally introduced to many of the more recent innovations.
