摘要

Throughout the brief history of digital computing, mechanical engineers have taken it for granted that they must adapt design and manufacturing processes to the limitations imposed by relatively inflexible computers. Over the past few years, however, software programs have been developed that make it easier for engineers to adapt design and manufacturing processes to human beings who perform a range of tasks, from analyzing and assembling a product to purchasing and maintaining it.
