Constructs and Attributes in Test Validity: Reflections on Newton's Account

I have raised concerns regarding three specifics of Newton's proposed definition of validity. Raising these concerns contributes to the larger project of clarifying and refining the notion of test validity as applied to test development and validation. This is a project that I consider important (Markus & Borsboom, forthcoming) and to which I appreciate Newton's detailed and thoughtful contribution.
