THE METROLOGY SERVICE NEW GENERATION OF STANDARDS FOR EVOLVEMENT TOOTH GEAR GEOMETRY

An analysis is presented of measurements involved in producing evolvement spur gears (ESG). An appropriate organizational, technical, and standardization basis exists for setting up a new generating of standards for measuring the geometrical parameters of ESG, which can provide for reproducing and transmitting a unit of length in the area of evolvement surfaces for use with means of measuring various parameters characterizing the kinematics accuracy, smoothness of operation, surface contacts, and lateral clearance.
