Numerical method of determining the characteristics of the spectral sensitivity of television image receivers

A new method of determining the characteristics of the spectral sensitivity S(λ)of television image receivers is proposed. The method is based on approximating the spectral sensitivity by a previously known function with unknown parameters. Using a set of wide-beam filters, the response of a television image receiver to the action of radiation from a source with known spectral distribution is measured. From the results obtained, the approximation coefficients are found and the required function S(λ)is recovered.
