摘要

Diffraction of a Gaussian beam by a large cylindrical particle that intersects the beam with constant speed is investigated both theoretically and experimentally. Certain features of the problem associated with the presence of the spatial scale of the beam are analyzed. A method is proposed and a device created for simultaneous measurement of the radius and speed of a particle. Measurements demonstrated good agreement between the calculated and experimental data.
