CONTOUR EVALUATION OF TRUNCATED DISTRIBUTIONS IN MEASUREMENT

A method is described for identifying truncated distributions. There are various causes [1-6] why one cannot make fuller use of probability theory and mathematical statistics in analyzing reliability and choosing parameters in methods of checking measuring instruments. Firstly, it is considered [7] that the frequency approach, which is based on the limiting frequency when the number of tests tends to infinity, does not allow one to make sound use of probability theory in practical cases where there is the restricted number of measurements.
