摘要

This issue presents new advances and state-of-the art in scientific computing involving numerical grid generation methods and approximation algorithms, simulation methodologies and applications. The issue papers represent recent developments and extension of contributions presented at the sixth IMACS/ISGG workshop, MASCOT06-6th Meeting on Applied Scientific Computing and Tools-Grid Generation, Approximation and Visualization, held in Rome, Italy, October 5-7, 2006.
