The Seventh International Symposium on Neural Networks (ISNN 2010) will be held in Shanghai, following the successes of previous events. Shanghai is the largest city in China, located in her eastern coast at the outlet of the Yangtze River. Originally a fishing and textiles town, Shanghai grew to importance in the 19th century.In 2005 Shanghai became the world's busiest cargo port. The city is an emerging tourist destination renowned for its historical landmarks such as the Bund and Xintiandi, its modern and ever-expanding Pudong skyline including the Oriental Pearl Tower, and its new reputation as a cosmopolitan center of culture and design. Today, Shanghai is the largest center of commerce and finance in mainland China, and has been described as the showpiece of the world's fastest-growing economy. In addition, Shanghai is the venue of forthcoming World Expo 2010 to take place from May 1 to October 31.
