In this study, the microstructure, and mechanical properties of various heat-treated AZ80N specimens are investigated. Experimental results show that the 400 ℃ solution-treated AZ80N specimens will produce the AlLi and Mg_(17)Al_(12) precipitates after aging at 170℃ and 250 ℃, respectively, and exhibit an obvious phenomenon of precipitation hardening. The aging precipitates of AlLi and Mg_(17)Al_(12) phases can significantly improve the tensile strength of AZ80N alloy, but reduce its impact toughness.
