Data indicate that the corrosion resistance ranking is as follows: circulating water with 2.5 rng/L BTA > concentrated water with 2.5 mg/L BTA > circulating water without any BTA > concentrated water without any BTA. Test results showed that the water stabilizer provided insufficient corrosion inhibition to copper tubes under conventionally used concentration. The stabilizer should be added to copper corrosion inhibitors such as BTA in concentrations developed through testing according to conditions. The water stabilizer not only had strong antiscaling effects on Ca~(2+) and Mg~(2+), but it also had certain complex effects on Cu~(2+) and Zn~(2+) under a conventionally used concentration.
