Tony da Costa, vice president of engineering at MOBILTEX Data, Ltd. (Calgary, Alberta, Canada), says his company is set to launch the final component of an ambitious Industrial Internet of Things project to empower utilities and pipeline operators to remotely perform interruption while obtaining complete cathodic protection (CP) measurement data-even in very challenging environments. Other benefits include dramatically reduced travel to remote locations, as well as increased worker safety. His company's CorTalk RMU1+INT1 package, which was honored as a winner in the 2021 Materials Performance (MP) Corrosion Innovation of the Year Awards, is designed to serve those needs.
