Nearly one of every three bridges in the U.S. is rated structurally deficient or functionally obsolete according to the U.S. Federal Highway Administration. Also of concern, one of every four bridges is greater than 50 years old, which is the typical design life of a bridge. In this month's issue, MP offers a look at corrosion in bridges, highways, and piers.
