摘要

Describes study designed to examine feasibility of protecting deep well casings and to validate polarization curve method for determining minimum protective current values. Both laboratory and field studies are described. Changes of casing-to-soil potentials measured with reference electrode located immediately below the casing were used to determine the feasibility of protection. Variables investigated include location of ground bed, location of reference cell, and time intervals for current integrals.
