摘要

Rod-like Ag_2S nanocrystallines have successfully been synthesized by using Na_2S_2O_3 as a chalcogen source in an aqueous solution via gamma-ray irradiation at room temperature. The lattice constants of 0.41 nm, 0.68 nm, and 0.77 nm for the monoclinic Ag_2S phase were obtained from X-ray powder diffraction pattern. The nanorods have nonuniform diameters in the range of 200 to 500 nm and lengths of up to several ten micrometers. The band gap of Ag_2S nanorods calculated from the UV-Vis spectrum is 2.34 eV, showing an obvious blue shift in UV-Vis absorption.
