Fabrication and photocatalytic activity of ZnO prepared by different precipitants using paralled flaw precipitation method

摘要

Paralled flaw precipitation method has been employed to fabricate nanostructured ZnO. It is found that the morphology and photocatalytic activity of ZnO has a strong dependence on the kind of precipitant. The mixed weak base is the key to determine the honeycomb-like nanostructure of ZnO. The prepared photocatalysts were characterized by BET, XRD and SEM. The results show that ZnO prepared by the mixed weak base possesses the highest BET surface area, pore volume, the smallest pore size and the particle average size. ZnO prepared by the mixed weak base exhibits the best photocatalytic activity and the possible reason was discussed.
