Controllable synthesis and photoelectric property of hexagonal SnS_2 nanoflakes by Triton X-100 assisted hydrothermal method

摘要

Tin disulfide (SnS_2) has attracted considerate interests due to its outstanding properties that stem from the unique crystalline structure. Herein, hexagonal SnS_2 nanoflakes have been demonstrated to be synthesized via a facile, one-step hydrothermal method using SnCl_2 H_2O and thioacetamide as raw materials and Triton X-100 as a surfactant. Experimental results show that the as-synthesized SnS_2 is hexagonal nanoflakes with lateral size of about 100 nm and the bandgap is from 2.136 to 2.289 eV. Moreover, the observations indicate that Triton X-100 plays a dominative role in controlling the morphology of SnS_2, which can enable a viable route toward the controllable synthesis of SnS_2 nanoflakes. Meanwhile, the photoelectric device based on the hexagonal SnS_2 nanoflakes has been fabricated and exhibits a good photoelectric response under UV illumination.
