Formation of honeycomb like pores in GO-CN/PAN composite membrane

摘要

Graphene oxide (GO) with cyano functional groups was synthesized using azodiisobutyronitrile in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) solution at 60 degrees C under ultrasonic for 6 h. Analysis of FTIR spectra of the GO and cyano modified GO (GO-CN) confirmed that cyano groups were successfully induced to the GO. By directly solving polyacrynitrile (PAN) powder into the mixture of GO-CN/DMSO, GO-CN/PAN composite membrane was prepared by spreading the polymer solution onto a glass, and then solidified using DMSO/H2O solution with stepwise concentration. The composite membrane exhibited honeycomb like pore, with pore size of 4.0 +/- 0.9 mu m and pore wall thickness of about 0.5 mu m. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
