摘要

The investigations on the micro-hardness of chalcogenide glasses are of straight practical importance since these materials have various potential applications in infrared fiber optics. Keeping in mind this fact we have synthesized some chalcogenide glasses of Se-Te-In system. The effect of Indium incorporation on the micro-hardness and related thermo-mechanical properties of Se-Te has been investigated. It has been found that micro-hardness and other thermo-mechanical parameters of binary Se_(75)Te_(25) glassy alloy are compositional dependent.
