It is no news to anyone that there is a lack of confidence in the government's ability to deliver isotope goods and services. Whether that lack of confidence is justified is another story. The government, especially the Department of Energy, faces many challenges in delivering isotope goods and services, but with the help of the isotope community, these challenges can be overcome. The Department of Energy has implemented a National Isotope Strategy and this is affecting the production of a particular isotope — iridium-192.
