Ultrasonic Testing of Welds by Time of Flight Diffraction: Codes, Guidelines and Standards

The above discussion briefly presents information from seven documents that have addressed the application of time of flight diffraction for weld testing. Time of flight diffraction users are recommended to obtain complete documents to prepare their procedures. Technicians performing such tests should be properly trained and familiar with the information in these documents. Testing companies should use these documents to develop written procedures to meet the basic requirements of Section V, Article 4 of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
