摘要

A new method for incorporating luminescent dye into polyphenylenesulphide (PPS) films by localised solvent crazing was developed using an automated puncture test instrument. The fabricated sensors displayed sensitivity over 0-100 kPa O_2 range, high brightness, linear Stern-Volmer plots, low temperature dependence and low cross-sensitivity to humidity. In addition, the sensors exhibited no leaching into food simulants and can be integrated into current food packaging materials. This approach allows continuous production of discrete O_2 sensors and their integration in packaging materials.
