New KLB brochure: safe design of constructional fire protection according to applicable standards and approvals

Immune against fire: In order to improve the fire safety of buildings, KLB Klimaleichtblock, Andernach, has published a new brochure. The new brochure "KLB-Wandbaustoffe" provides designers with an aid to categorise lightweight concrete building blocks according to their fire behaviour and design them according to applicable regulations. The decisive factors include wall thickness, function of the building element and fire resistance. As a supplement to Eurocode 6 and DIN 4102, the brochure also includes national technical approvals and verifications for products that are not made according to standard. In general, lightweight concrete blocks are in building material class A and are thus inflammable.
