Due to an increasing demand for large open spaces and open views onboard superyachts, Azure Yacht Design & Naval Architecture started a research project to investigate a new approach to the use of glass in 2010. This has resulted in innovative solutions for strong and safe construction designs that bring the best possible panoramic views. Azure has contracted Lloyds Register and a leading yacht glazing specialist to provide their relevant input. The main goal of the research project has been to use more glass on the superstructure and on the hull to blur the boundary between interior and exterior spaces.
