The Bergen C25:33L: design of new R-R user-friendly engine Focused on customer needs

More technical details have emerged of the new Rolls-Royce Bergen C25:33 medium-speed engine since its CIMAC debut in May (MER June p25). Orders have already been booked for the first four engines of the design: they will power a UT737 offshore support vessel under construction for Island Offshore at Soeviknes Verft. Four nine cylinder units will generate electricity for the diesel electric propulsion system.
