Con-ro conversion at Polish yard

The ro-ro container vessel Mazarine, owned by the Belgian company CLdN, left Poland's Remontowa The Mazarine conversion was carried out on schedule, Remontowa states Shiprepair Yard in late 2019 after a major conversion project. This included the construction of an additional cargo deck, extending from the superstructure towards the bow, and the installation of a hydraulic entry ramp. Overall, around 1,000tonnes of additional steel structures were added to the ship during the conversion works. In addition, Remontowa carried out a range of mechanical, hull maintenance and painting works. This included a silicone paint application on the underwater part of the hull, additional piping and ducting and the installation of new deck equipment including life saving appliances.
