Curacao yard anticipates better times ahead

Damen Shiprepair Curacao (DSC) had a turbulent year in 2018. Its quayside areas were partly occupied by two floating drydocks which were under repair prior to commissioning in November. Furthermore, the number of vessels handled decreased slightly due to the Venezuelan political turmoil, sanctions on that country's tanker operator, PDVSA, and the temporary shutdown of the neighboring Isla refinery.
