John Potter recently sat down with the Journal's senior editor, Allen Curtiss, Jr., to discuss the salient issues of the mailing industry as well as his plans to navigate the Postal Service through troubled economic times. Mr. Potter is a career postal employee who rose through the ranks to become the 72nd Postmaster General of the U.S. He was at the helm during the September 11, 2001 tragedy and the ensuing anthrax attacks in the mail. He witnessed the birth of a whole new postal system in late 2006, and has continuously championed the power of mail communications in an ever-burgeoning electronic world.
