Version 2 of TextExpander Touch, for iOS 5.1 or later, puts the iOS app nearly on a par with the Mac version of Text-Expander (see page 60). Updated features let you build powerful snippets, such as for creating a form letter. To take advantage of the new capabilities, developers must update their apps to the TextExpander 2 SDK. The iOS app's editor lacks the Mac program's user-friendly graphical tools, so creating macros and fill-in fields requires typing code.
