Apple Sells 3 Million iPad mini and iPad 4 Models Within Launch Weekend

Apple sold a total offeree million iPad mini and fourth-generation models within the first three days of their launch, the company has announced. The two new iPads hit the shelves on 2 November to significantly smaller queues outside Apple Stores than we've seen at previous launches, such as those at the iPad 3's earlier this year. Piper Jaffray's Gene Munster said: "While we observed lines for the iPad mini and fourth-generation iPad launch were 20 to 50 per cent shorter than the third-generation iPad, overall units were significantly better at three million, compared to 1.5 million Wi-Fi-only third-generation iPads in March."
