Measuring rectangularity

摘要

Three new methods for measuring the rectangu- larity of regions are developed. They are tested together with the standard minimum bounding rectangle method on syn- thetic and real data . It is concluded that, while all the meth- ods have their drawbacks, the best two are the bounding rectangle and discrepancy methods.
