Philipp Koehn, Statistical machine translation

Statistical machine translation by Dr. Philipp Koehn was published in early 2010. The author is a well-known researcher in statistical machine translation (SMT) and has been working in the field for more than 10 years. Currently, he is a lecturer in the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh and leader of the widely-used, open-source SMT system Moses. He was the scientific coordinator of the European Euromatrix project, the predecessor of the current EuromatrixPlus project in which the author also participates. Koehn has also collaborated with leading machine translation (MT) companies such as Systran and Asia Online.
