Sleeping with the Enemy or Learning form Each Other? Sharing Ethical Experiences Between the public and Private Sectors

This paper examines what public sector institutions can learn from the private sector in the realm of values. It begins by examining the values that are important in the public sector and suggests how they may limit the applicability of private sector values. The paper uses the example of how the introduction of private sector values has led to efficiency savings within an NHS rust to illustrate the scope for ethical learning between the two sectors.
