Developing Effective Directors and Building Dynamic Boards

摘要

This article argues that directors have to accept four propositions VIZ, that directing is different form managing, that criticism of their performance is growing, that they must respond to external pressures to reform their corporate governance and that they require training. It also discusses the proposal for a profession of "directing" which would involve continuous professional development and assessment.
