摘要

Strategic planning is a process intended to provide enhanced performance through a systematic analytic process. The multinational corporation provides a special opportunity for strategic planning, due to multiple dispersed sites and lack of close supervisory control from headquarters. Rarely considered is the intervening variable of cultural divergence between subsidiary and headquarters, with the potential to violate the culturally-based assumptions that underlie the strategic planning process.
