Re-designing the Value Chain at Scania Trucks

摘要

This article explores mechanisms for achieving sustainable competitive advantage. These comprise both direct value-added elements, including reconfigurations along a seamless value chain, and indirect value enhancing strategic management capabilities. Within a case context, value system process redesign, aspects of leadership and relationship building are examined and evidence is provided of a strategic direction which will enable organizations both to compete in the future and cope with new sources of change.
