Roughly two months after FedEx announced that it made a strategic decision not to renew the FedEx Express U.S. domestic contract with Amazon, reports issued last month said it's also severing ties with the global e-commerce bellwether on the ground side. It added that this move is consistent with the company's strategy to focus on the broader e-commerce market, which echoed the statement made in its early June announcement regarding exiting the Express contract with Amazon.
