The lighting concept comprised two distinct layers of light; a general layer that falls from above revealing and illuminating larger areas and a detailed layer that operates at a lower and more intimate level designed to reveal texture and materials. The general layer of light illuminated the length of the wharf promenade, the road and footpath surfaces for the length of Jellicoe Street, selected playground equipment and Flip 38.
