Smart city lighting and how it will contribute to creating connected cities of the future is a hot topic with big dreams. Some of these dreams have come true (and are already illuminating a street near you). Some are proven on the small scale and will soon ramp up to bigger things. Some are almost too out-there to contemplate, but with change occurring in huge strides you can be pretty sure that however crazy they seem now, they're almost certainly around the next (street) corner.
