What are the next lighting E.T.s? The ACEEE, through an established set of criteria, has determined that there are no lighting measures classified as "High" priority measures in their 2004 list. Under the "Medium" priority classification, the list includes tight CFL downlights, scotopic lighting, one-lamp fluorescent fixture with high-efficiency lamps, residential portable CFL fixtures, commercial LED lighting and low wattage ceramic metal halide lamps. Rosenfeld identified hotel occupancy sensor night lights, integrated classroom lighting, high color temperature lighting, and LED sources and luminaires as key California lighting E.T.s. Michael Siminovitch of the California Lighting Technology Center (CLTC) presented several Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) projects including bi-level stairwell fixtures, DALI lighting controls protocol and energy-efficient residential light fixtures.
