The lighting design transforms a busy intersection on a nationally significant site into an elegant nighttime landmark. The goal was to use lighting to shape the bridge's identity and enable it to fit into its surroundings. The lighting and architecture form a gateway on the route connecting the airport to the civic center and parliamentary district. A key design objective was to accentuate the sculpted curved walls and tapered bridge deck slab, showing the quality of material and form.
